Great competition and weather helped Central runners produce 16 personal records! The Yankton course is the same one that we will return in the fall for the Nike Heartland Regionals. The girls varsity race was the first race of the day, the top teams in the field were Willimar, ranked #2 MN & #7 in the nation and Minnetonka #5 MN. The Central Girls held their own finishing just behind both teams for 3rd place. Karly Ackley lead all finishers into the finish chute posting the 4th fastest time on the course at 17:21.69, which is also good enough to be the 7th fastest time in the Nation!! Posting PR along with Karly is Alexis Roehl (5th 18:30), Rachel Torrey (8th, 18:50), Sophia Roehl (34th, 20:50), Sijle Kindseth (41st, 21:06), Mikalya Weiss (42nd, 21:07) and Rachel Hatcher (21:53, 49th). Also PRing for the girls in the JV race was Valerie Doze (18th, 22:16).
