Frisbee in the park before the run

Kick the bottle
Saturday morning donuts
Long runs
Getting tan
4-mile buildup
Trail runs at Turtle River State Park
Pushing ahead to run with the older runners before I had to turn back for the house
Hanging back to run with the younger runners before they turned back for the house
Sliding through the backseat of cars stopped in the crosswalk
Having runners who have graduated come back to run with us
Going back to run with the group after graduating
Water cup decorating
Watching the freshmen carry the water to and from the Frisbee field
Working up a good sweat
Friday game-day
Anticipation for the camping trip
Not having homework after practice
Running in only running shorts, or “nakeds,” as we called them

The symphony of “beeps” when everyone started or stopped their watch at the same time
