Karly Earns ND Gatorade Girls Cross Country Award

Congratulations to Grand Forks Central Sophomore Karly Ackley for being chosen the 2014 North Dakota Girls Cross Country Gatorade Winner. This award is given to the top cross country runner from North Dakota each year.  It is selected by Gatorade, with many qualifications including high academic standing, good sportsmanship, and leadership. The recipient has to receive letters of recommendation from the schools principal, her high school coach, and several other coaches from across the state. Karly went undefeated in 2015, her biggest wins of the year was the Milaca Mega Meet, defending her EDC championship, and winning the individual state championship.  She helped lead her to team to its second team EDC championship, and second at the ND State Meet.  Karly is an extremely hard working, good teammate, and humble.  She ran 1872 miles in 2014. It is great honor for Karly to receive this award!
