I can. It's possible. I will. These were the three phrases that our team had embedded in our minds all week. Coach Allan really pushed it onto us to believe in ourselves and in each other before entering the state meet. With just being an alternate this year, it was a much different feel in Valley city, where state was held. But, it was so exciting and nerve wracking to watch both teams run their races. As some of the athletes were lining up at the start, nerves were high, but everyone kept calm. Everyone ran great races, following the three phrases we learned all week. I couldnt be more proud of the fifth and fourth place finishes by the girls and boys teams. Great job guys!

I can't believe the season is over except for regionals. It seems like it was just the beginning of the season yesterday. The state meet went great. It feels weird to have everything that the team has worked towards since June be done with, all in one meet. I was very happy with everyone's performance at state. It was cool to be on the state podium for both the girls and boys teams. The week building up to the meet was a great week for workouts everyone worked hard to preform their best at state. On Friday at our prestate dinner we had good food and great speakers. I especially enjoyed the speech that our teammate Ian did. I hope that everyone works hard over the winter so those who are going to do track have a good spring season and then right into summer running so we can improve and be an even better team than we were this year! Hard work during the off season really makes a difference!
