Overall, our season has had a great start. I have loved watching our team pull together and enter this season excitedly and ambitiously. Now is the time to really start competing!

One of my favorite things about track is the diversity that can be found in a track team. We have sprinters, jumpers, pole-vaulters, distance runners, throwers, and more! I love how everybody is different. We're now well into the season. Our new teammates have had their appetizers. It's now time for them to stop being a "beginner," and start being a competitor. Track has now become a competitive sport. One thing I am happy to see is the younger members of our team treating track how it should be treated. I don't see people getting discouraged when they aren't keeping up with seniors and juniors. In fact, I see lots of younger Central team members competing with and beating older athletes from other cities. At the EDC indoor/outdoor meet, my favorite race I saw was the 4x400 relay. Our team had three underclassmen, and we still competed!
