![]() The Paul Bunyan Classic had 29 teams, 17 heats of girls 200m dash, 19 heats of boys 200m dash, 130 boys running the 60m dash, which all led up to the longest meet of my 20 years of coaching, 8 hours 56 minutes. But both teams had successful days and did a great job of competing! The Central Boys finished second, with the 4x2 being the highlight by winning the race and just missing the meet record. Seniors Wes Austin, Carrington Adams, Killian Gause, and Freshman Adam Grove lead from the gun and increased their lead with each leg. Our evening ended with having pizzas being delivered to the field house, then having to transfer all of our things from our orignal bus, that broke down, to a new bus. We arrived home late, and I'm sure there will be a lot of tired, but successful, young men at school today.
