This week has been another very busy and successful one! We started the week off with a long run/normal run. We the went into speed the next day at our home course. The next day was a normal run followed by speed the next day. Friday was fun because a lot of the team was cut down in mileage a mile or two and we had sprints after.
We then woke up early to get on the bus and leave at “6 AM!!!!!” We had a bit of problem because one of our buses broke down halfway to Minot, so we had to cram onto 2 buses that we shared with Red River, and some of the parents came to come help us out and give us rides. The races started out pretty good, despite it being fairly windy and having a huge hill to conquer. I was sooo proud of everyone because I saw girls and boys beating other people up that monster hill, and running down the hill and using it to catch people. This is so great for me to see because we have worked on hills the whole year and we got to see it pay off. We also had a bunch of middle school boys and girls that came up ran varsity for the first time!! We had girls and boys that placed in the top 20, and despite the wind and hill, we had some PRs!! It was a great meet and now we get ready to conquer the EDC!!
