This week was a hard week with the first week of school, a meet and everyone being tired, a little dehydrated, and figuring out their sleeping schedule. The meet went well even though everyone was a dragging a little from getting up early for school. The middle school boys did really well with Joe, Quinn, and Wyatt placing one, two, three respectively, with Carter finishing 11th and Dylan 12th to have the boys team finishing first with 29 points. The middle school girls also did really well with the team taking 3rd finishing behind Red River and Devils Lake.  The JV boys placed 5th  with Alejandro being the first finisher for the JV boys in  11th placel. The JV girls ran awesome, with Maria Kroeber finishing 4 her highest placing ever, and the  team took 1st in the JV division!  The Varsity boys placed 3rd even with some of the top 5 from last meet not be able to run because of injuries. Because of this, we had to have some of the other runners for Varsity stand up, especially Ethan running his first cross country race and placing 23rd.The Varsity girls team took first putting 4 of their top 5 in the top 10 at the Northwood meet!  I would say that it was a successful week and a great meet!
Ryan Meyer - Freshman - Captain

It's been a tough week for everyone, now that school has started. Sleep schedules were off and everyone was tied up with homework from the new year.  Everyone still did really good at practice and it showed in our race on Thursday.  Northwood is a tough course with multiple hills and everyone handled it very well! A couple of our runners either placed for the first time or won their first race! Annika Green who won the girls sword placed for the first time ever!!  She works so hard and it was great to see her succeed from all the hard work.  Alexis Roehl won her first race and so did Joe Williamson.  Ethan won the boys shield for having a great first race after being at soccer practice all week long.  The JV girls won their first race this year, the varsity girls came with a win again, and  the boys varsity team placed very well considering we didn't have all of our top runners.

Overall I'm so happy with how everyone did and how everyone is handling the season so far.  This week will be another good week and we get ready for West Fargo on Saturday! I'm excited to see what we can do!
