This past week has been very interesting with the early morning practices and school getting out early because of the heat. It was really nice to see everyone that came to all the morning practices even though getting up early isn't always easy, its good to have dedicated teammates, even just in this week I have seen everyone grow closer as a team. On Thursday we had the Northwood meet everyone did well! I am especially pleased with how well central cheers for our teammates compared to the other schools keep it up! Team spirit goes a long way in helping a team bond and be successful.         Keelan Murphy - Senior Captain

There is only one word for this week: HOT! So hot in fact we had to have practice at... 6AM!!!!! I'm proud of all of our girls for staying hydrated and working just as hard in practice. Even though it was early everyone showed up. Now that's what I call commitment. Also this week we had our 2nd meet in Northwood, which I think went really well for the heat and the hills. For the girls the "Knight of the meet" we "knighted" was Tyanna. We "knighted" her because her past two races she has had phenomenal finishes passing several girls in the chute. For several others girls this was there first race and they all did great as well. This week it will hopefully cool off a little so we can get back to our regular schedule. We have two big speed workouts coming up this week as well as another meet in Bemidji on Friday to get excited for. There are so many great things to look forward to this season and I can't wait to see what our girls can do next.               Grace Roehl - Soph Captain
